Question: What Currencies do you accept?
Answer: Our website accepts three currencies (Euro, Sterling and US Dollars). You can purchase online using one of these currencies and your credit card company will then convert to your countries currency (at the current exchange rate). If you wish to find the cost in your currency prior to purchase, please contact your bank for the daily exchange rate.
Question: How do I view my currency?
Answer: After you have selected the candle you require click on "View Details". On the right hand side of the screen there is a heading "CHOOSE CURRENCY" this gives you a drop down menu of the currencies we accept (Euro, Sterling and US Dollars) change to your currency here.
Question: How do I view the cost of the candle?
Answer: You can view the cost of the candles as follows:
- Click on the candle you require
- Click on "View Details" and the prices are displayed here. Please note, this price does not include delivery.
Question: How do I view the shipping charges?
Answer: You can view the shipping charges as follows:- Click on "Candle required"
- Click on "View Details"
- Under the description of the candle there is a box containing "Burn Times" etc, at the end of this box there is "Candle Weight". This tells you what your candle weighs. To find out the cost of delivery click on "View courier delivery charges chart" which is just under the weight. Find your country across the top and the weight along the side; follow the line across to find your delivery cost.
Question: When I place an order how long will it take to be delivered?
Answer: Depending on the country which you live in. Your candles will take approximately 2 weeks to make and approximately 1 week to deliver to the E.U and the USA. As soon as the candles have been manufactured they will be shipped to you immediately.
Question: How do I personalise my candle?
Answer: To personalise your candle follow these steps:
- For wedding candles:
Click on "View details"
Then click on "Personalise/Add to cart" this will bring you to the personalisation page for you to fill in your details.
- For all other candle types:
Click on "Buy now" this will bring you to the personalisation page for you to fill in your details.
Question: How do I have my own photograph put on the candle?
Answer: On certain candles you may substitute the standard Photo with your own personal Photo (for an additional charge). When you click on "the buy now/add to cart" This brings up the Personalisation page on this page is the following wording "This section is for your own personalised photograph only. Please leave blank if you require our standard photograph" This is were you will attach your personalised photo.
Question: What kind of photo will I send to put on my candle?
Answer: - All that appears on the candle will be the head and shoulders. Therefore it is the size of these within the image/photo that matters, not the size of the image/photo as a whole.
- The larger the image the better the quality will be, as we can reduce images that are too large. However images that are too small will give poor quality when enlarged to the required size.
- Please note that this refers to the original image/photo. Using computer software to increase the size of an image/photo will still result in poor quality.
- The head and shoulders within a hard copy photo sent by post/mail should be approximately 5cm x 5cm in size (2" x 2").
- If you are scanning an original photo please ensure that it is scanned at resolution of at least 300 dpi. The size of the original photo should still be as described above.
- If using a digital camera you must use the largest image size that your camera will allow and if possible zoom in on the head and shoulders of the subject.
Question: How much extra does it cost to have my own photo?
Answer: If you wish to substitute the standard photo for your own photo the additional cost will be as follows:- Euro - €15.00
- Sterling - £10.00
- US Dollars - $15.00
Question: If I send a photo by mail do I get it back?
Answer: If you send your picture by mail/post we will endeavour to send it back to you with your candle. However we cannot take responsibility for any damage or the loss of your photo.
Question: How can I view the poems on the candles?
Answer: You can view the standard poem that is printed on the candles as follows:
Select the candle you require- Click on "View Details"
- Click on "View Full Image"
- Click on "View Poem", this lets you read the poem which will be printed on your candle
Question: How do I put my own poem on the candle?
Answer: On certain candles you may substitute the standard poem with your own poem (for an additional charge). When you click on "the buy now/add to cart" This brings up the Personalisation page on this page is the following wording: "This section is for your own personalised poem only. Please leave blank if you require our standard poem." Please type in your own poem in the space provided taking note of the max amount of characters you can have in your poem.
Question: How much extra does it cost to have my own poem?
Answer: If you wish to substitute the standard poem with your own poem the additional cost will be as follows:- Euro - €10.00
- Sterling - £7.00
- US Dollars - $10.00
Question: What colour candle can I have?
Answer: You may choose from two colours White or Ivory. We do give a recommended colour for every candle design. This can be found by clicking "view details" on the candle of your choice. The recommended colour will also be the default candle colour when you are filling in your personalisation details, this is where you can change to the colour of your choice.
Question: Do I Pay Import Tax on Candles?
Answer: Most countries allow importation of your gift candles. However in the likely event that local tax is requested to be paid, it is the responsibility of the recipient to pay these Taxes locally.
